Thousands of great golf courses are played around the world and can be found scattered throughout America and Europe.

If you’re out to find the best golf courses in Europe, you’ll find it in Scotland, but when in the USA and ready for a good golf game where do you go to find the best course? Arizona and Florida are both well known for providing golf hot spots. In Scottsdale, Arizona, there are well over two hundred public and/private courses. The high tourist areas of Florida hold a lot of courses, as well.

Public or private, a membership is one of the main differences between the two. If you’re in the mood to play a round on one of the best golf courses available, a country club is a good example of a private course that requires membership to play. A public golf course is less formal and is available to anyone.

If you do not like being rushed on rounds, playing on a public golf course is beneficial because they are less rigid in means of the amount of time you take to play. A private golf course also requires more “formal” golf clothing, public courses are less strict on what you wear to play. A private golf course has rules that are expected to be followed in order to play the course, what you wear is part of the rules. Public courses are less apt to ban you for not wearing proper attire.

Finding the best golf courses can be a challenge, as no two are alike. The best for one person may not be the best for another. There is no set standard on how a golf course is designed, the standard is the amount of holes that are required. There have to be a minimum of eighteen holes per course. You’ll occasionally find a few extra on private courses in order to improve your game.
